About LEKS Lawfirm

LEKS Lawfirm is organised as a partnership and has business registration number (V-number) 561649. The owners are Sp/F Annfinn V. Hansen Advokatur, Sp/F Advokatsmápartafelagið Jens Andrias Vinther, and Sp/F Janus P. Rein Advokatur.

LEKS Lawfirm maintains client accounts with Betri Banki and BankNordik. Unless otherwise agreed or expressly stated, funds entrusted to us for safekeeping will be deposited with one of the said financial institutions.

In the event that a bank enters into insolvency proceedings, depositors are covered pursuant to the Act on the Guarantee Scheme for Depositors and Investors, up to a maximum of EUR 100,000, corresponding to approximately DKK 750,000. The maximum amount covers the total deposits held with the relevant bank, irrespective of whether the funds are held in several accounts, including both client accounts and personal accounts. In the event of insolvency, compensation of up to EUR 10.0 million applies to deposits relating to non-commercial real property. All attorneys employed by LEKS Lawfirm are authorised by the Danish Ministry of Justice to practise as attorneys-at-law and are members of the Danish Bar and Law Society (Advokatsamfundet) as well as the Faroese Bar Association (Advokatfelag Føroya).

The attorneys are covered by professional indemnity insurance arranged with HDI Denmark. The insurance covers the entire legal practice of LEKS Lawfirm.

No contractual clauses concerning choice of law and/or jurisdiction are applied unless expressly agreed with the client.

The attorneys of LEKS Lawfirm are subject to the supervision of the Danish Bar and Law Society (Advokatsamfundet) and are, pursuant to the Administration of Justice Act, bound by the rules on good legal practice.
